The 2025 Golden Globes – Skin Prep with @stretchwithandrea

Written by Elizabeth Gehl

If you tuned into the Golden Globes, you surely caught on to this year’s common thread on the red carpet: delicately defined features, dewy clean skin, and just the right amount of makeup.

With our founder Molly Sims in attendance, YSE Beauty partnered with celebrity facial massage specialist Andrea Carlisle Rodriguez to prep her for the occasion. Andrea’s services range from stretch lymph™ therapy to full body contouring, but for Molly, Sunday was all about the super sculpted face.

Keep reading to learn more about Molly’s pre-Globes treatment and Andrea’s best tips for facial depuffing and DIY skin snatching.

Us: You’ve worked on some of the industry’s greatest faces—from Oscar winning actors to models and athletes—to prepare them for carpets, press appearances and on-camera moments. What treatments are you best known for when it comes to event prep?

Her: I’d say my Buccal Facial Massage and my Lymphatic Drainage + Sculpting massage. All of my clients want to look snatched and glowy from head to toe for appearances, and both of those treatments do the job. They’re very relaxing and release so much stored tension within the face and body, which helps the client feel their best right before the big event.

Us: Your lymphatic drainage facial massage is best known for its ability to contour and depuff the skin below the surface. What are some of your best tips for those looking to achieve the results of facial lymphatic drainage at home?

Her: Always massage upward on the face and drain down on the neck area into the lymph nodes above the collar bone. I like to massage the jawline upward in a few swipes toward the ear area, massage around the jaw area and ear to target specific points getting the fluid moving, and then swipe down with the fingers to the nodes above the collar bone. Repeat on the other side. For sinus issues, you can massage upwards around the nose, and with your fingers, move the fluid up towards the forehead and away from the nose.

Us: How do you recommend addressing the more delicate areas of the face, like the under eyes, while still achieving the same depuffing effect?

Her: I absolutely love The Overachiever Eye Masks for this! I always start with the brightening masks and leave them on for 15-20 minutes while I'm getting things done. I then do a light, delicate massage around the eyes with the Wide Awake Eye Cream. Some mornings after a long night with barely any sleep, I'll put the YSE Golden Sculpt Roller in the freezer the night before and use it in the morning around the eyes and face for a deeper depuff.

Us: Aside from lymphatic work, what other steps are crucial to achieving a radiant and flawless base before any sort of makeup goes on the skin?

Her: Two of my favorite YSE products are the Exfoliating Pads and the SPF 30 Glow Primer, which go great together before makeup. The pads help gently exfoliate the skin leaving the surface brighter, smoother, and more even. The SPF primer preps your skin for makeup and leaves you with this beautiful glow. I love how my skin looks with it on… most of the time I don't feel the need to wear face makeup. I get so many compliments and so many, "How are you glowing all the time?!" comments when I wear it. And since it has SPF and niacinamide, along with the glow, you are being protected from those harmful rays. Win-win.

Us: You’re a huge fan of YSE! You've been incorporating the line into your services even before working with Molly for the first time. Tell us which products are a staple in your kit.

Her: Am I allowed to say all of them?! LOL. My top faves are the exfoliating pads, the glow primer, the vitamin C, the retinol, and the eye masks. But I really do love everything. I’m very picky when it comes to ingredients in skincare, and you can't go wrong with YSE.
